Claude Code Plugin

Your phone, from your terminal.

Send notifications and SMS to your Android phone straight from Claude Code. Works over your local network via a Termux HTTP bridge. Any OS, no USB cable.

Text someone without touching your phone.

You're deep in a coding session and need to fire off a quick SMS or push a reminder to your phone. termux-remote lets Claude Code talk directly to your Android device over the network. No app switching, no unlocking your phone.

It uses a lightweight HTTP bridge running in Termux. Your phone just needs to be on the same network (or reachable via Tailscale, VPN, etc).

How it works.

1

Bridge

A small HTTP server runs in Termux on your Android phone. It accepts commands over the network and executes them using Termux APIs like termux-sms-send and termux-notification.

2

Connect

The plugin resolves your phone's address from its config. It runs a connectivity check to make sure the bridge is reachable before sending any commands.

3

Execute

Claude Code sends notifications or SMS through the bridge. The shared transport layer handles retries, timeouts, and error reporting so commands land reliably.

Works from any OS. Your phone just needs Termux, the Termux:API add-on, and a network path from your desktop.

SMS from desktop

Send text messages through your phone's SIM without picking it up. Claude Code resolves contacts and dispatches messages through termux-sms-send over the bridge.

Push notifications

Pop a notification on your phone from any machine. Uses termux-notification to deliver alerts with custom titles, content, and priority levels.

Connectivity checks

Before sending anything, the plugin pings the bridge to confirm your phone is reachable. Clear error messages if the device is offline or the bridge isn't running.

Shared bridge layer

All Termux commands route through a single HTTP transport. Config resolution, connection pooling, and error handling are built into the shared layer so each capability stays simple.
